I visited Scratch in the Paseo Arts District with my friend Sydney! We had signature cocktails, chatted, and had the best time!
The Paseo Arts District in Oklahoma City is and will always be one of my favorite pockets of the city. When I lived in the Asian District, I used to take my bike down to the Paseo on summer nights and drink beer at Sauced and catch Pokemon. I used to be an avid attender of the Red Dirt Poetry Nights on Wednesday (I don’t even think they do those anymore?) and Picasso is one of the most reliably good restaurants in OKC.
That being said, there’s New Paseo, and there’s Old Paseo. After a few years of not many changes, there has been some new development sprouting up. That includes a CBD Oil store that I frequent, Waffle Champion’s newest concept Buttermilk Sliders, and an OKC version of the Norman darling, Scratch.
I met my (new!) friend Sydney down in the Paseo last week to have some drinks, snacks, take photos, pop into Craig’s Curious Emporium, and just generally have a girls night. I was so happy with the food and drink at Scratch! I ordered the “Some Like It Hot”, which is a spicier twist on a French 75- garnished with a tiny jalapeno. My second drink I requested to be one of the prettier drinks that they offer, and it turned out to be such a delight. (Scratch Weather Sangria). We shared the dip trio, which I would probably skip next time and try something new.
Have you been to the new Scratch in the Paseo? What did you think?
